In an interview featured by News5Everywhere YouTube, the actor discussed the changes behind his physical transformation. An interviewer had asked about his fitness routine after noticing his appearance in a teaser and in person.
For Aga, the main factors were his food choices and the effort to follow his routine regularly.
“I stay consistent with my diet. I stay consistent with my workout,” he said.

That commitment also meant changing how he spent his time. He shared that he stopped going out and focused more on biking, gym sessions, and his family.
“Talagang nawalan ako ng social life,” he admitted.
The celebrity explained that he declined invitations to dinners and other gatherings. When he did attend an event, he would sometimes stay for only about an hour.
He also brought his own food to help him stick to his eating plan.
“May baon lang ako parati,” he shared.
Behind the transformation were regular workouts that he does not always show publicly. The star said a trainer comes to his home for sessions every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
He mentioned beginning in October last year and becoming uninterrupted with that schedule from December onward. Throughout his explanation, he emphasized that consistency was what made the difference.
“No miss ’yan. No miss,” he said of his workout sessions.
When the conversation turned to his meals, Aga clarified that his approach did not involve completely avoiding carbohydrates. He described eating normal food while monitoring how much he consumes.
“It’s normal food. It’s normal. It’s calorie counting lang. It’s caloric deficit,” he explained.
That means some familiar favorites remain part of his diet. The actor said he can still have rice and ice cream, as long as he stays within his calorie allowance.
“I can have rice, I can have ice cream,” he said.
He added that he tries to reduce less healthy food and choose more natural options whenever possible. Still, he acknowledged that he does not get every food choice right.
“But we’re not perfect,” he noted.
Aside from managing his meals, he spoke about exercising regularly through biking and lifting weights. These activities have become part of the schedule he now prioritizes.
Later, the interviewer asked whether the transformation was intended as preparation for a movie project. Aga clarified that his weight loss and the project simply happened to coincide.
“Nagkataon lang talaga,” he said.
Looking back, he admitted that his size had previously made him feel embarrassed about going out. He explained that this discomfort sometimes affected his willingness to accept work offers.
His account focused on the everyday adjustments behind his progress, from limiting dinner outings to showing up consistently for exercise.
