Search operations are still being conducted by authorities for the three missing kids.

In the Philippines, liability for a boat accident resulting in a passenger's death due to big waves depends on factors like negligence, maritime law compliance, and the circumstances of the incident. The boat operator or crew may be held responsible if they fail to take precautions, ignore weather warnings, overload the boat, or lack safety equipment. The boat owner could also be liable if the vessel was unseaworthy, poorly maintained, or operated without proper permits. Government agencies like the Coast Guard or MARINA may share responsibility if they fail to enforce regulations, while passenger negligence could reduce or share liability. However, if the accident was caused solely by an unavoidable natural disaster, no one may be held accountable under the principle of force majeure.
