To counter the spread of misinformation, GMA News shared a side-by-side comparison of the fake video alongside their original coverage.

The comparison clearly shows how the misleading version was altered to fit a false narrative.

In response, the network urged the public to be cautious and not to believe or share fake news online without verifying the information.

As misinformation continues to spread rapidly on social media, GMA News reminds everyone to fact-check sources before accepting content as truth.

News, photos or videos that arouse the interest of netizens would often go viral on social media, due to the attention netizens give them.
