A 30-year-old man lost his life, while a mother and her daughter, aged 35 and 20 respectively, sustained stab wounds in a brutal attack that has left the community reeling.
In a report by ABS-CBN News, quoting Laoag City Police investigators, the 30-year-old victim was sitting in the living room of a house on Thursday afternoon when the 45-year-old suspect suddenly barged in and began stabbing him repeatedly.
The suspect then proceeded to enter the room where the mother and daughter were, inflicting similar injuries on them.

Responding barangay officials and police officers swiftly apprehended the suspect at the scene.
The three victims were immediately rushed to the hospital, but tragically, the 30-year-old man succumbed to his injuries.
The mother and daughter are currently receiving medical treatment for their wounds.
During the arrest, authorities recovered two plastic sachets believed to contain methamphetamine, commonly known as shabu, and two rounds of ammunition from the suspect's motorcycle.
