A Chinese New Year celebration in Ongpin Street, Binondo, Maynila turned into a tragedy after a fire broke out on the 35th floor of a condominium unit in the early morning of Wednesday.

There were two Filipinos who were confirmed to have died from the tragedy.

Based on the investigation of the Manila Fire District, the two victims were househelpers.

The six others who were living in the unit made it out alive.

In other news, a mother and her two kids were discovered lifeless by their neighbors in Naga City, Cebu. All three bore similar deep wounds on their necks, which might have caused their untimely demise. The suspect, who was later caught by authorities, is the live-in partner of one of the victims and the father of the two other victims. Authorities say the suspect even tried to escape but they shot him in the knee to immobilize and arrest him.

Still in other news, a woman shared on social media her harrowing experience after allegedly undergoing a gluta-drip. In her video, the woman, identified through her socmed account as Jelly Macha, said she suffered an infection causing her right eye to shut tight. She blamed the gluta-drip session she allegedly went through recently. A gluta-drip, or glutathione IV infusion, is a treatment allowing glutathione to be delivered directly to the bloodstream by way of an intravenous drip.
