A traffic enforcer directing vehicles in Sta. Maria, Bulacan, was struck by a speeding SUV.
CCTV footage showed the enforcer standing at an intersection when the SUV came rushing towards him.
According to Ivan Mayrina's report on 'Unang Balita,' the man, identified as Salvador Dela Cruz Jr., was thrown into the air after being hit and was immediately taken to a hospital.
Initial findings from the Sta. Maria Traffic Management Office revealed that the driver was sleep-deprived after traveling from Manila.

The SUV driver who declined to give a statement was arrested and will be charged with reckless imprudence resulting in serious physical injuries.
