“Sharing this not for clout, but for awareness,” Ralph wrote.

He recalled that he had just woken up and immediately stood from his bed. Almost instantly, something went wrong.

“Kakagising ko lang noon tapos bigla akong tumayo. Biglang nag-dilim ang paningin ko, nawalan ako ng balanse, at natumba ako—at doon nabagok ang ulo ko,” he shared.

The sudden episode prompted Ralph to reflect on how quickly an ordinary action such as standing up can potentially lead to an accident. He used his experience as an opportunity to remind his followers to be particularly careful when getting out of bed after sleeping.

According to Ralph, people should avoid immediately jumping to their feet after waking. Instead, he advised sitting on the bed first, taking a moment to breathe, waiting several seconds, and only then slowly getting up.

His explanation centered on the possibility of a sudden drop in blood pressure after moving quickly from a lying position to standing. Such a change can be accompanied by symptoms such as dizziness, darkened vision, weakness, or loss of balance, potentially resulting in fainting and a fall.

Ralph emphasized that while standing up may seem like an insignificant everyday activity, a brief loss of consciousness or balance can have serious consequences.

“Akala natin simpleng pagtayo lang, pero isang segundo lang na mawalan ka ng malay o balanse, puwedeng mauwi sa seryosong injury,” he said.

He urged his followers to pay attention to what their bodies are telling them and to avoid rushing through the transition from lying down to standing.

“Kaya please, listen to your body and take it slow,” Ralph added.

The actor also expressed deep gratitude that he was able to recover from the incident and share what happened with others. Rather than keeping the frightening experience private, he hoped his story could encourage people to take a simple precaution that might help prevent similar accidents.

“Sobrang thankful ako na nandito pa rin ako at may chance na i-share itong experience ko para makatulong sa iba,” he said.

Ralph also expressed his faith following the incident, thanking God for what he described as another chance at life.

“Thank You, Lord, for giving me a second life,” he wrote.

He reiterated his practical reminder at the end of his post: sit down first after waking, breathe, allow the body to adjust, and then slowly stand.

“Please take care of yourselves, lalo na pagkagising. Upo muna. Huminga. Mag-adjust. Saka dahan-dahang tumayo,” Ralph said.
