A man from Bato, Leyte, was killed instantly after being shot inside his home.

Investigators said an unknown man knocked on their door, pretending to buy palm wine or "tuba."

The victim's wife opened the door, but the man shot her in the head right away.

The suspect then entered the house and shot the husband, his real target, several times.

The wife of the victim miraculously survived and is now trying to recover.

In a report by Frontline Pilipinas, the suspect was eventually arrested, and the gun used in the crime was also recovered.

According to reports, extreme hatred was the motive of the suspect.

As it turned out, the victim allegedly impregnated another woman but was not financially supporting the woman who happened to be the sister of the suspect.

The suspect will be charged with murder and frustrated murder.
