A comedian and TV host almost fell victim to robbery on the very eve of Christmas.

In an interview following the incident, the comedian narrated they just came back from church and were getting ready for the traditional Noche Buena or Christmas dinner.

The said comedian, who refused to be identified and refused to have his face shown on TV, said that fortunately, they were able to subdue the said suspect.

“Naghahanda na para sa Noche Buena. Kumakain-kain na. Kagagaling lang naming magsimba. Pinasok kami ng isang naka-posas na indibidwal. Nakapasok siya ng walang pahintulot. Luckily, na-restrain naman namin at nakatawag kami ng mga security at mga pulis,” the comedian said in an interview.

The comedian, when asked for his reaction during the incident, admitted that they became very anxious during the incident.

“Ano'ng reaksyon niyo Sir sa ginawa niya?” the reporter asked.

“Kalmado naman ang lahat, ano, pero siyempre hindi naman natin maisasantabi na matakot, lalo na yung mga kababaihan at mga bata, at saka maisip mo yung mga worst-case scenario,” the comedian replied.

Meanwhile, a backrider of a motorcycle died after an electric cable allegedly hit him, cutting his head. According to the report of GMA Regional TV, the truck allegedly snagged an electric cable, which eventually got cut. Thereafter, it hit the backrider of motorcycle. The driver of the wing van is still at large, especially that the area where the incident happened was dark and it was raining heavily.
