In a report by GMA Regional TV One North Central Luzon, authorities say the victim sustained gunshot wounds in the head and back, which caused his untimely demise.

Police investigators identified the victim as 59-year-old Andres Dacquioag, whom they say was standing outside a convenience store with his fiancée when he was shot and killed.

He reportedly came from his just-concluded bachelor’s party when the crime occurred.

Police authorities also said that the victim was rushed to the hospital but unfortunately, medical personnel weren’t able to save his life.

Investigators recovered two caliber .45 empty shells at the scene of the crime.

The police also said they’re still trying to establish the identity of the perpetrators and the motive of the crime.

The victim is supposed to tie the knot with his fiancée a couple of hours before he was killed.

In a report by Cebu Daily News, citing GMA Balitang Bisdak, the possible reasons include woes over money and health problems. According to the 20-year-old daughter of the seaman, he blamed their mother who was treated for stage four cancer for having depleted the finances of the family. She also revealed that they have not communicated with their father for a long time already.
