A video of an old woman crying hard in the last few days of her husband's wake has gone viral on social media, tugging at the hearts of netizens.

Edmarie Joyce Pattalitan, the granddaughter of the old woman, was recently interviewed by The Philippine Star over the viral video on socmed.

In the interview, Edmarie shared that her grandmother has been crying daily over her husband's passing and that she has a lot of videos about it.

"Halos every day talaga siyang umiiyak. Marami akong video noon pero last night po kasi iyon ni lolo. May musiko dito. Sobrang nami-miss po namin siya. Si nanay po, pag naalala niya, umiiyak pa rin siya," she said.

According to Edmarie, it was back in 2022 when her grandfather's health deteriorated after an incident that had him going to the hospital often.

Prior to his death, Edmarie recalled how her grandfather continued to think about his wife.

"Two to three days [before] mawala siya, iniisip niya pa rin kami. Na, 'Wag mong pababayaan ang mga apo ko.' 'Wag kayong mag-aaway, magmahalan lang kayo.' Mga ganun. Tapos si nanay, 'Magpakatatag ka lang,' mga ganun yung sinasabi niya. Sabi ko po sa kanya, 'Okay na po kami. Wag ka na po mag-worry ha. Wag mo na kaming alalahanin, kami na ang magbabantay kay nanay.' Yun po yung ina-assure namin sa kanya," Edmarie said.
