A colossal squid, measuring up to 15 feet in length – longer than two adults – surprised a group of fishermen in Negros Occidental.
In a GMA Integrated Newsfeed report on YouTube, fisherman Nicol John Entia said the giant squid weighs around 50 kilograms.
The same report also displayed a video of the squid captured during the said encounter.
Entia's group, after filming the encounter, promptly released the squid back into the ocean.

Giant squids, like the one captured in the video, are among the largest invertebrates in the world that can grow up to 43 feet.
However, experts say that giant squids are inedible due to their high concentration of ammonium chloride, which helps them swim and imparts a taste of rotten meat.
