Motorists were surprised, and the report from the sheriff's office noted that the child was a 3-year-old.

Before the carnapping incident, the car apparently bumped into a vehicle, causing the driver to go down from the vehicle.

The carnapper then took the chance and drove the vehicle away.

Later, he abandoned the vehicle in another location, and took the things from the car.
