Ashley Ortega has revealed why she and boyfriend Mavy Legaspi are not rushing into marriage or starting a family, explaining that she still has several personal and professional goals she wants to accomplish before taking on such major responsibilities.

During her appearance on the October 23 episode of Chika Cart, the Kapuso actress received a surprise video message from actress and comedienne Sugar Mercado. The message was presented by hosts Baninay Bautista, Donita Nose, and Jeff Fernando during the program's “Chika Go” segment.
Sugar asked Ashley about her plans to settle down, considering her achievements in both show business and business ventures.
“Dahil successful ka na sa iyong business career at pagiging aktres, kailan ka naman magse-settle down para naman maging ninang na ako na ako ng iyong baby?”

Ashley responded that marriage is not something she and Mavy are currently considering, although she sees their relationship as something they want to maintain for the long term.
“Alam mo, matagal pa kasi marami pa akong gustong gawin sa buhay. Marami ring tao ang nagtatanong, 'Kayo ni Mavy, kailan magse-settle down?' Hindi pa namin iniisip 'yung marriage, whatsoever, but of course, we want na pang long-term na talaga kami,” ani Ashley.
The actress explained that her attention remains on her acting career and the two businesses she has started. She wants to make the most of her current opportunities before considering a major change in her personal life.
“Marami pa kasi akong priorities. Siyempre 'yung showbiz career ko nand'yan pa. Top one priority. I just started, dalawa na 'yung business ko ngayon, so marami pa akong gustong gawin sa business career ko bago muna mag-settle down,” pahayag pa ng aktres.
Ashley was also asked whether she would consider getting married once she reaches 30. However, she emphasized that readiness matters more than reaching a particular age.
“Ako naman, feeling ko kasi in my 20s, marami pa akong gustong gawin before ako mag-settle down at bago ako magka-family,” aniya.
For Ashley, becoming a parent and building a household would mean taking on an entirely different level of responsibility. She wants to make sure she can give her full attention to those responsibilities when the time comes.
“Ibang responsibility 'yung magkaroon ng pamilya. Ngayon, ang responsibility ko, gusto ko muna ibigay sa business ko at sa showbiz career ko kasi feeling ko marami pa akong ibubuga.”
She also shared that Mavy has his own professional ambitions, making it important for both of them to pursue their individual goals while they still have the opportunity.
“Ine-enjoy ko. Same with my partner, si Mavy. Marami pa siyang gustong gawin, so mag-focus muna kami individually sa mga career namin. When the right time is there, 'di at least financially stable na kami na p'wede na gumawa ng pamilya, but as of now focus muna kami sa work,” sabi pa ni Ashley.
Despite the questions surrounding their future together, Ashley made it clear that marriage is not being dismissed entirely. Instead, she and Mavy are choosing to take their time and establish themselves professionally before embracing the responsibilities that come with starting a family.
At this point, the actress is focused on making the most of her current opportunities, particularly in her acting career and business ventures.
