“After a lot of prayer and some hard conversations at home, I’m stepping away from everything effective October 31. The movies, the teleserye, all my endorsements. Everything,” the actor said in his post.
The statement immediately sounded like a major career development, particularly because Paulo mentioned stepping away from movies, television projects, and endorsements. However, his succeeding remarks made it clear that the post was intended to be humorous.

“GTA 6 is out November 19. PoE 2 hits 1.0 on December 11, and they finally added swords. I watched the Extended Look last night and I have not been okay since,” Paulo added.

Rather than citing exhaustion, a career change, or another serious personal matter, Paulo playfully presented his gaming plans as the reason he needed to take a break from his professional commitments. His post referenced the upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto 6, along with developments surrounding Path of Exile 2.
Paulo continued the joke by involving his supposed legal concerns and giving a humorous timeline for when he could return to dealing with potential lawsuits.
“To my legal counsel, please tell everyone lining up to sue me that I’m available March 2027. I’ll have 100% GTA completion and a build nobody can touch by then. Sue me at my peak. Wag niyo ako i-tag sa clips. Babalik din ako. Basta. God bless po,” he joked.
His playful message left fans with a very different impression from the serious opening of his post. While he initially appeared to be announcing a major withdrawal from showbiz, the rest of the message revealed that his supposed hiatus was centered on his enthusiasm for gaming.
“Grand Theft Auto 6” is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, based on an announcement from Rockstar Games. Paulo’s post therefore appears to have turned the highly anticipated game release into a humorous excuse for his fictional extended break from showbiz.
For now, the actor’s message reads more like a playful promise to devote himself to gaming rather than an actual announcement that he is permanently leaving the entertainment industry.
