Regine Velasquez shared a sincere birthday wish for her husband, Ogie Alcasid, during his celebration on It's Showtime.

The touching moment was featured in a video from the noontime program uploaded on YouTube. Ogie marked his special day in the studio, where he also delivered a heartwarming performance with fellow singer Moira Dela Torre.

Regine was present for the celebration and was given the chance to share what she wished for her husband. Instead of focusing on one particular gift, the Asia's Songbird spoke about the prayers she offers for him.

“That he'll always be blessed abundantly. Sa gabi, pinagdadasal ko siya lagi, pine-pray over ko siya. And para sa mga misis, sa mga mag-asawa, it's very important to pray for your spouse, very important,” she said.

The singer explained that praying over her spouse has become an important part of their marriage. She said her prayers are not only for Ogie's safety, but also for the blessings that may come his way.

“I really pray over him, for protection, for blessings. It's very important that you do. Feeling ko gano'n talaga dapat, you pray over your spouse. Not only for protection, but also for blessings,” Regine added.

Ogie later revealed that his own birthday wish was centered on his wife. The singer-host said he wanted to remain healthy so he could continue looking after her.

“Ang gusto ko lang talaga, 'yung health ko maging okay para lagi kitang maaalagaan. Alam mo 'yan,” he shared.

His response made the exchange even more personal. While Regine wished for his protection and continued blessings, the birthday celebrant hoped for good health so he could always be there for her.
