The Queen of All Media recently returned to the spotlight through Netflix Philippines’ three-part promotional campaign, where she takes on the playful role of C.H.I.K.A., or Chief Head of Insight and Kontent Analysis. Her first two episodes have already reminded fans of the expressive personality, humor, and quick wit that made her a familiar presence in Philippine entertainment.
Her return also prompted a netizen to comment on her trademark personality.
“lol. gotta love her trademark kris kaartehan that only she can pull off 😆”

Kris responded by explaining that what viewers are seeing may be partly intentional because of the material she is working on.
“Will you believe me if I say I am no longer as ‘maarte’ kaya lang for the material to work I need to go back to how I was?” wrote Kris in the comments.

She also expressed interest in doing a reality show, saying it could allow audiences to see a more toned-down version of herself.
“I would love to do a reality show para makita at marinig nyo how much I have tone down, in my opinion by at least 30%. For most maarte pa rin, for me pang school library na,” she maintained.

The possibility of Kris returning to a reality format immediately appealed to fans, particularly because she previously hosted Kris TV and other television programs where audiences became familiar with her candid and spontaneous personality.
Kris also revealed that her interests have evolved significantly. When another netizen brought up her famous “lumilindol” meme and suggested luxury jewelry, Kris instead talked about her growing passion for stationery and writing.
“My left earlobe closed. I haven’t been wearing earrings in so long. I have grown up a lot since then, but my new collection is personalized stationery, note cards, and 1.0 gel pens. I need to keep writing or else I will lose my grip and 3 of my autoimmune diseases that affect the control of my hands will win,” she maintained.

Her passion for writing has also found its way into the Netflix project. Kris revealed during another exchange with a fan that she contributed to portions of the campaign’s script, giving her an opportunity to incorporate her own personality and creative preferences into the material.
Beyond the entertaining scenes seen onscreen, however, Kris’ comeback also involved considerable physical effort.
Content creator and entertainment vlogger Mama Loi previously shared behind-the-scenes details from the shoot, including Kris experiencing swollen legs while dealing with rheumatoid arthritis. Despite the difficulties, Mama Loi said Kris remained positive and professional throughout the production.
“But she never complained, kahit hirap at pagod she was always in high spirits, at pag nasa harap na ng camera wala ka nang mahahalata na she’s in pain. She is a true professional. At kahit may iniindang sakit, palaging “take 1” si KCA,” Mama Loi said.
“Her cut-off time was 12 midnight, but she finished the shoot with no complaints until 1:30 AM,” she added.
Kris’ longtime makeup artist RB Chanco also recalled another challenge during filming. Her allergies reportedly acted up, causing her eyes to continuously tear while she was being prepared for the cameras.
Despite the setback, Kris still delivered the performance expected of her.
“And Kris did what Kris does. She gave us the Kris we all know and love. Funny, energetic, professional and completely in her element. Even when I knew she was in pain, she kept going. No complaints. She gave it everything she had. As if the hiatus had never happened,” RB said.
“One take. That’s Kris.”
With the first two episodes already giving fans a taste of her familiar humor and personality, Kris’ supporters can look forward to the final installment of Netflix Philippines’ three-part promotional campaign, which is scheduled to be released on August 20.
