According to the actress, deciding to end a relationship becomes clearer when both people are no longer growing together or helping each other become better.

“I feel like masasabi mo yun, na it’s time to let go, when it’s both not working for you. Parehas kayong hindi nago-grow, nahihirapan, napapagod kasi love should be nurturing. It does take hard work pero at the same time, it takes the both of you,” she expressed.

She further emphasized that relationships require equal commitment from both partners.

“It takes two to tango. Ngayon, kung isa nalang ang willing sumayaw–– mag tango–– hindi na siya balance. It always has to be teamwork, team effort,” she added.

Bautista also encouraged people to listen to themselves before emotional exhaustion takes over. She admitted that waiting until everything has been given can make the healing process even more difficult.

“Parang binigay ko na lahat tapos hindi pa din nag work out so I think it’s time to let kapag ubos na ubos ka na. Pero sana wag niyo hintayin na maubos kayo. Sana mas smart kayo than me. I think you just know in yourself and in your heart kapag mabigat na siya talaga,” she asserted.

Despite the pain that comes with ending a relationship, Bautista believes letting go does not always mean love has disappeared. For her, it can also be a selfless decision made for the benefit of both people.

“Letting go of someone doesn’t exactly mean na you don’t love that person anymore. Sometimes it could be the final act of love. You have to let go of a person para mag-grow kayo separately or para hindi na kayo mas magkasakitan pa sa isa’t isa,” she explained.

The actress also admitted that accepting reality is sometimes more painful than the breakup itself, especially when there was no betrayal or major conflict involved. She recalled questioning why things ended despite believing that everything seemed fine between them.

“For me, I was wondering bakit eh okay naman kami. Then you have to deal with the fact na wala na talaga and it’s super hard to accept when there’s no, for example, walang cheating. So where did it go wrong? Ang dami mong questions, ang dami mong what ifs, ang dami mong nakitang dreams and visions for you both, and you finally accept that it’s never gonna happen and it’s never meant to be. Parang gusto mo pa ipilit pero hindi na talaga,” she ended.
