Will Ashley is entering a new chapter in his career as he prepares to star in Delivery Boi, his first television project centered entirely on comedy. Known for taking on dramatic roles, the Kapuso actor admitted that the upcoming series marks a refreshing change and one he has long looked forward to experiencing.

Speaking with 24 Oras, Will shared his excitement about finally exploring a different genre while also taking on his first lead role in a television series.

“Ever since, parang puro drama lang talaga. Drama, drama, drama lang talaga ‘yung ginagawa ko. Ngayon lang ako gagawa ng parang full-time comedy. Tawaserye kung tawagin,” he said.

Aside from embracing a new challenge, the actor has also been celebrating a recent career milestone. Will received the Best Supporting Actor award at the 9th Eddys (Entertainment Editors' Choice Awards) for his performance in Bar Boys: After School. He shared the honor with Rico Blanco, who was recognized for Manila’s Finest.

The young actor expressed gratitude to the Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors (SPEEd), the organizers of the awards, as well as to everyone who has continued supporting his journey.

“Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng nagmamahal at sumusuporta din sa akin. And to my GMA family, thank you so much po. Mabuhay ang pelikulang Pilipino. Super happy po ako na nai-share ko po with Sir Rico ‘yung award,” he said.

Will believes the recognition has helped him become more confident in his craft. He admitted that unlike before, he no longer allows pressure to weigh him down whenever he accepts new projects.

The actor is also part of Amir, GMA Pictures' official entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival 2026. The film gave him the opportunity to work alongside award-winning actor Dennis Trillo for the first time.

Will said collaborating with Dennis became another memorable experience that motivated him to keep improving as an actor.

“Super excited po ako. Kasi it’s my first time working with him. And sobrang na-enjoy ko rin po talaga. Sa ganito pong pagkakataon mas nakaka-inspire pa to do better sa craft ko. Wala naman na pong kaba, it is what it is. Kumbaga go with the flow,” he shared with a smile.

With a comedy series, another major film, and an award-winning performance under his belt, Will continues to expand his range while embracing every opportunity that comes his way.
