“And, sasabihin ko ba kay Ate Jodi? Magti-thank you na ba ako agad e, nahihiya ako,” she added.
Sanya also expressed how honored she felt after learning that she had been chosen for the project despite coming from another television network.
“Medyo huling-huli na 'to. Nakakatuwa na of course si Miss Jodi Sta. Maria 'yung napili ako from other network pa. May kakayahan pa siya pumili ng mas higit pa sa akin,” Sanya said.
Jodi quickly interrupted her co-star and immediately disagreed with what Sanya said about herself.
“Ano ka ba? Alam mo kasi, sorry, ika-cut kita,” Jodi responded.
The Kapamilya actress then explained that many people already recognize Sanya’s talent, except Sanya herself.
“Kasi si Sans, magaling siya. Lahat nakikita 'yun puwera 'yung sarili niya. So, kailangan mo siya laging i-affirm, laging mong kailangan i-remind siya,” Jodi said.
Jodi clarified that her intention was not to make Sanya conceited but to help remind her of her abilities and value as an actress.
“Hindi dahil sa gusto [ko] palakihin 'yung ulo niya, but, kailangan lang niya ma-remember 'yung ano 'yung kaya mong gawin. Kung ano 'yung value mo, na magaling ka!” she explained.
Aside from praising Sanya’s talent, Jodi also thanked her co-star for bringing positivity to the set of “Midnight Girls.”
“Thank you for making the workplace a happy place. Salamat. And of course, I would love to work with you again,” Jodi added.
Their heartfelt exchange quickly gained attention online, with many netizens praising the sincerity, humility, and supportive friendship shared by the two actresses despite coming from different networks.
