A viral video featuring Sarah Geronimo recently stirred online buzz after she was seen asking the crowd to vote for her in the next elections, prompting speculation about a possible political move.

The clip, taken during an outdoor event, showed the singer engaging with fans as she said,
"Maraming salamat po, iboto niyo po ako sa susunod na eleksyon."
The moment quickly circulated on social media, with some viewers wondering if the pop superstar was hinting at entering politics.

In response to the growing chatter, G Productions, the company run by Geronimo and her husband Matteo Guidicelli, issued a clarification to address the misunderstanding.
"The video came from a live event where, as part of her closing spiel, Sarah playfully asked the audience to vote for her in the next election," the company explained.
It added that the remark was simply meant to entertain the crowd.
"It was a lighthearted moment meant purely for fun and crowd interaction," G Productions said.
They further emphasized that there was no deeper meaning behind the statement.
The production company also reaffirmed Geronimo’s current priorities, noting that she continues to focus on her passion for performing and connecting with her audience through music.
"She is exactly where she wants to be — on stage, doing what she loves, and inspiring people through her talent and artistry," the statement read.
G Productions further urged the public to appreciate the moment as it was intended and to avoid attaching political meaning to the singer’s playful comment.
"We kindly ask everyone to enjoy the moment for what it was and resist adding any political color to an onstage joke," the company added.
Sarah Geronimo, often hailed as the "Popstar Royalty," is a premier Filipino singer, actress, and record producer who rose to fame after winning the talent show Star for a Night in 2002.
