According to a report by ABS-CBN, Sanchez shared during a vlog interview with Maddox Jewelry founder Charo Cordial that she had consulted a lawyer before marrying Roxas because she initially wanted a prenuptial agreement. However, the couple eventually married without one.
“Wala kaming prenup, pero noong ikakasal na kami, kumausap ako ng abogada. Sabi ko, gusto ko ng prenup,” she shared.
The veteran broadcaster explained that she wanted to retain control over her personal earnings, particularly because she had financial responsibilities beyond her own household. Among these was helping provide education for her nieces and nephews.

Sanchez also shared that she regularly extended assistance to people in need and rescued animals, making financial independence particularly important to her.
“Ayokong pakialaman niya yung konting kinikita ko, kasi mahilig ako tumulong sa tao,” she said.
She clarified that her intention was not to interfere with Roxas' finances either. According to Sanchez, she never viewed her future husband's money as something she wanted to benefit from.
“At hindi ko rin papakialaman ang pera niya, dahil hindi naman 'yan ang habol ko sa kanya,” she added.
Her explanation offered a glimpse into how she viewed financial arrangements within their marriage. Rather than making their respective earnings a shared point of concern, Sanchez wanted both of them to have the freedom to manage their own money.
Although the prenup she initially envisioned did not become part of their marriage arrangements, the television personality said she continues to appreciate having the freedom to enjoy what she earns through her own hard work.
This also became apparent when she discussed her spending at Maddox Jewelry, where she reportedly spent around P1.1 million on jewelry.
For Sanchez, being able to purchase things she likes using her own money is something she believes she has earned through years of dedication to her career.
“I deserve it. Because I work very hard,” she said.
Her revelation highlighted a personal perspective on marriage, financial independence, and the importance of having the freedom to decide how one's hard-earned money should be spent.
