On Instagram Stories on Friday, April 25, Janine shared a couple of throwback photos captured when she was little.

In the old snaps, Janine could be seen posing and having precious moments with her father Ramon Christopher, and her paternal grandmother Pilita Corrales.

Janine likewise penned a short but heartfelt message to her “Mamita” in the on-screen caption of one of her posts.

“Miss you already,” Janine penned accompanied by a white heart emoji.

It can be recalled that on April 12, Janine announced the unfortunate news about her beloved grandmother.

“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved mami and mamita, Pilita Corrales.”

“Pilita touched the lives of many, not only with her songs but also with her kindness and generosity. She will be remembered for her contributions to the entertainment industry, but most of all for her love of life and family.”

The Kapamilya actress likewise asked the public to “join us with your prayers and kind thoughts as we celebrate her beautiful life.”

Born on August 22, 1939, Pilita Corrales was a multi-talented artist—a singer, actress, comedian, and television host who achieved success not only in the Philippines but also internationally. She was the first female artist to score a number one hit on the Australian pop charts in the 1950s with the song “Come Closer to Me.”

Janine Gutierrez, on the other hand, is a Filipina actress, model, and TV personality. She was born on October 2, 1989, and her parents are actress Lotlot de Leon and actor-singer Ramon Christopher Gutierrez. She is a former Kapuso star but is now an exclusive artist of ABS-CBN.

Janine is mourning the passing of her grandmothers, Nora Aunor and Pilita Corrales. Nora died on April 16 while Pilita passed away last April 12. The Kapamilya actress’ tribute post for Nora then received comments from her fellow celebrities. Isabelle Daza and Pinky Amador are among those who sent sympathies to Janine.
