The post by the news and current affairs division of TV5 contains a set of photos captured by MJ Marfori from the wake currently happening at The Chapels at Heritage Park in Taguig.
As per the post, the wake will only be held for one day. It is open to the deceased musician’s family and friends.

Just last month, Hajji's partner of 27 years, Alynna Velasquez, shared that he was recuperating after being diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. She remained hopeful during an interview with Julius Babao, expressing her belief that Hajji would eventually sing again following his surgery.

In a social media post, Barni uploaded video of her self singing the song “Ang Lahat Ng Ito’y Para Sa’Yo.” She also wrote a touching caption for her late dad, saying she can’t imagine life without him. It can be recalled that the OPM icon, who was best remembered as the original “kilabot ng mga kolehiyala” with a string of enduring songs throughout his career, battled a terminal illness.
Some celebrities have taken to social media to pay tribute to Hajji. Ogie Alcasid is among those mourning the passing of his fellow OPM icon. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Ogie enumerated Hajji’s pleasing traits. The singer-composer also sent his deepest condolences to the bereaved family. Ogie further expressed his emotional thoughts on the passing of some music icons.
Meanwhile, in a tribute post, Jaya recalled listening to Hajji’s music on the radio as a young kid. She also lauded Hajji for his warm personality, humor, and talent. “Paalam po Mr. Hajji Alejandro,” she likewise told the late singer. Furthermore, Jaya, who currently resides in the US, also sent her sincere sympathy to the bereaved family.
