A wave of familial pride swept through the Muhlach household as Andres Muhlach, son of veteran actor Aga Muhlach and former beauty queen Charlene Gonzalez, received his first accolade in the entertainment industry.

The young actor was honored with the Best New Male TV Personality award at the 38th PMPC Star Awards for Television, a milestone that moved his father to tears of joy.

Aga took to social media to express his overwhelming pride in his son's achievement.

“Blessings coming your way, son. Keep up the good work. God be with you always. Always remember, His plans not ours. Congratulations!!! Proud of you ! Love you, man!” he wrote, sharing his heartfelt sentiments with his followers.

Andres’ recognition stemmed from his performance in a sitcom series where he shared the screen with his parents and his twin sister, Atasha.

During his acceptance speech, the rising star reflected on his journey, recalling a moment two years prior when he accepted an award on his father's behalf, acknowledging the nerves he experienced then and still felt during his own moment of recognition.

“Two years ago, I received an award on behalf of my father, at aaminin ko na that time sobrang kinakabahan talaga ako. At two years later, nandito ako receiving my first award, at syempre kinakabahan pa rin ako,” Andres said in his speech.

Following in his family's tradition, Andres dedicated his award to his parents and sister, acknowledging their unwavering support and inspiration.

“I’d also like to thank my family, my father who was also an inspiration to me, my mom who continues to help me every single day, and of course my sister who I love so much,” he stated.

Aga also took the opportunity to express his pride in his daughter, Atasha, who is set to star in the Philippine television adaptation of the Thai film “Bad Genius.”

Charlene, in a separate social media post, extended her congratulations to her son and expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to his success.

“Habang buhay kayo na nasa puso namin kayo. We love you all and we thank (you) from the bottom of our hearts. All for God’s glory,” she wrote.

Andres’ talent agency, Viva Artist Agency, also celebrated his achievement, acknowledging his hard work and dedication.

Adding to his growing list of accomplishments, Andres recently released a rendition of the Hotdog classic “Ikaw ang Miss Universe ng Buhay Ko,” which was also the title of a 1994 film starring his mother.

He has also contributed to the soundtrack of the sitcom he currently stars in with his family, showcasing his versatility as an artist.

This recent award, and his musical endeavors, signal the start of a promising career for the young Muhlach.

Aga Muhlach is a veteran actor and endorser from the Philippines. He rose to fame after he featured in the 1986 hit film, 'Bagets'. He also starred in highly successful films like 'Sana Maulit Muli', 'Bakit Labis Kitang Mahal' and 'Miracle in Cell No. 7'. He married beauty queen Charlene Gonzalez on May 28, 2001. They have two children – twins Andres and Atasha.

Two months ago, Aga was one of the topics in Ogie Diaz's showbiz news. According to Ogie, Aga reportedly fell short of the required points, resulting in him not even receiving a nomination at the MMFF awards. The showbiz reporter claimed that his source said, 13 jurors vote on who will be nominated for the said awards. The same situation occurred with Eugene Domingo, despite having two films featured in the MMFF. The Metro Manila Film Festival awards night took place on December 27th of this year.

Meanwhile in a previous post, Aga and Charlene took to their respective Instagram pages to pen heartfelt messages for each other by way of celebrating their 23rd wedding anniversary. In his post, the veteran actor reiterated how much he loves his dear wife. Charlene, on the other hand, shared a carousel of photos showing some of their sweet moments together.
