Candy Pangilinan, in a recent post on her Instagram account, shared a touching poem that gives a glimpse of the world of those who are on the autism spectrum.

In the poem that the actress and celebrity mom shared, the poem discussed Christmas celebration from an autistic point of view.

The poem that Candy shared began with the timeless “T’was the night before Christmas” phrase and then it proceeded as to how an autistic would view such time.

It also highlighted the fact that how those who are on the autism spectrum put great value on routine and space.

“T'was the night before Christmas, and all through the house, The noises were different, with more people about. I don't like not knowing, what to expect, I need my routine and space to reflect,” the poem reads.

It then went on to reveal what an autistic want and need in life.

“I want to keep eating, my usual food. Not talking to visitors, doesn't mean I'm rude. I love all my presents and having no school. But it can feel overwhelming, with new rituals and rules,” the poem said.

Near the end of the poem, the author tried to ask for understanding for those who are on the autism spectrum, highlighting the fact that their world is very much different from others.

“I may not react, like other children do. But I really am grateful, for my presents from you. So be gentle with me, be patient and kind. And remember your world, looks different to mine,” the poem shared by Candy read.

Candy Pangilinan is an actress and comedian. She was awarded as best actress in CineFilipino 2016 and Los Angeles International Film Festival for the movie Star Na Si Van Damme Stallone.

In a recent post on Instagram, Candy shared a screenshot of an “honest” convo she had with her son, Quentin. In the screenshot, one can see a casual conversation between a son and his mom. It began with the usual greeting and asking about the day of the other. Then near the end of the convo, Candy asked Quentin something, which the latter answered in a very honest manner.

Last August, Candy shared the video of her in isolation because she got shingles. The celebrity mom said she had to isolate herself so as not to infect her household. She also admitted getting worried about her son, Quentin, if ever he sees her with a bandage on her face because of shingles, which is why she doesn’t show herself to him. Candy also showed her progress while in isolation.
