Miss Grand International bans Myanmar from pageant after rejecting 2nd runner-up win

- Miss Grand International President Nawat Itsaragrisil has banned Myanmar from the competition

- This came after the breakdown of Ms. Myanmar after winners were announced, and after she rejected her 2nd runner-up award

- In a press conference, Itsaragrisila asked what makes Miss Grand Myanmar Thae Su Nyein allegedly so delusional

- He also said that if Thae wanted first place and must have it, she should just create her own pageant

In a presscon in Bangkok’s Movenpick Sukhumvit 63, Nawat asked, "What makes her so delusional?"

He also said that if Thae wanted the crown then she should just have to create her own pageant.

“If she wants first place and must have it, I suggest she creates her own pageant so she can win every title,” he said.

The pageant has already accepted the rejection of Miss Myanmar of her win.

One can recall that Miss Myanmar broke down after the pageant, and with Myanmar’s National Director Htoo Ant Lwin removing the crown and sash from her.

Nawat cited “lack of sportsmanship and business credibility" as to the basis on the ban.

In a previous report by KAMI, the body of Geneva Lopez, the missing beauty queen, had been cremated. In the report done by ABS-CBN News, Lopez's sibling revealed that two wakes will be held. Previously, Lopez and her boyfriend, Yitshak Cohen, were said to have sustained gunshot wounds.

Meanwhile, a beauty queen from Meycauayan, Bulacan, encountered an accident during the talent portion. The Ms. Gay contestant, Maria Tonie Dela Cruz, wanted to showcase her fire-dancing talent. Unfortunately, her face caught fire as she was executing the routine. In an interview with GMA Public Affairs, Maria said that she tasked a kid to buy kerosene, but the latter was given gasoline by the gas station.
