Ogie Diaz is one of the most famous showbiz reporters in the Philippines. He is also an accomplished comedian and has appeared in several sitcoms and movies since the 1990s. At the moment, his YouTube channels, Ogie Diaz Inspires and Ogie Diaz Showbiz Update, are the most watched, where he actively provides news from the world of showbiz. With him in his show are Mama Loi, Jegs and Mrena, who also make the show truly worthwhile to watch.
In a recent post on Instagram, Ogie also expressed his opinion about candidates who are running in next year’s elections. He said it seems everyone wanted to toss their hat into the electoral race. The showbiz reporter and talent manager also noted that many of them always say they wanted to help the poor. He then pointed out that some who say this don’t even have money to fund their campaign.
In a separate post recently, Ogie once again reminded the public about the proliferation of fake news. This was after rumors about the supposed axing of Barbie Imperial from FPJ's Batang Quiapo. The rumor was later debunked by ABS-CBN. Ogie also named several news sites who are known to report authentic news.
