Fashion writer Ingrid Chua took to Threads and shared her thoughts on the "nasty" fan posts about Heart Evangelista and Pia Wurtzbach.
In a series of posts, the blogger highlighted that fashion weeks are "not THAT exclusive that only 1 Filipino rep should attend." She also urged the fans to stop pitting the two A-list celebrities and be proud of them instead.
"I keep getting these "nasty" fan posts abt Pia and Heart on my algorithm. Why can't the fans from both camps just chill and be grateful their idols are both representing the Philippines at fashion weeks? Fashion weeks are not THAT exclusive that only 1 Filipino rep should attend. I've attended shows for 10 years before they began atrending. And other PH peeps have too! So stop pitting them against ea other. Just be dȃmn proud of the fact that the PH is now on the international fashion map."
"I hope the badmouthing from whoever stops. There's really enough space for everyone to do well in this industry, and Heart and Pia are great PH assets," she wrote in another post.

The blogger expressed her two cents on the alleged stolen contacts, stressing that Heart's ex-glam team has no influence over brands' decisions.
"That is below the belt. And really the comments are so toxic. People have NO idea how the industry works -- how brand decisions are made for influencers, celebs etc. I cannot explain it enough that a PH glam team has NO influence over int'l. brand decision makers. ZERO. The blame game needs to stop. We should really all be sooo proud of our 2 PH reps"
"For the record, I like them both. Ive been working in the fashion industry in Europe for over 10 years. I attended a lot of these same shows that they attend now -- for over 10 years. So again I will say this: no local (PH) glam team is influential enough to influence brand decisionmakers to make their client into a brand ambassador. You can choose to believe what you want, but I am telling you IT DOES NOT WORK the way you said it did. It is NOT THAT SIMPLE"
Likewise, Ingrid stressed that Heart and Pia "both represent the PH marvelously."
Furthermore, the columnist answered a netizen's question whether influencers are getting paid to attend fashion shows.
"Most are just happy to be there, but the more internationally established ones that bring something solid to the table, get some form of honorarium. Not a huge amount for sure. International celebrities (think KPop, Chinese celebs, Hollywood celebs) are usually the ones getting paid 5 figures to attend shows."
