Kim Atienza, inalmahan ang socmed post na nagsasabing pumanaw na siya: “Nope, not today”

- Kuya Kim Atienza, a well-loved TV personality, slammed a social media post that appeared to announce his alleged demise

- The said post even bore the logo of GMA News, the network where Kuya Kim works and appears in various shows

- The TV host then reposted on his socmed account a screengrab of the post in question, this time with the word “hoax” in big, bold red letters

- In the caption on his repost, Kuya Kim indicated that while everyone would pass away at some point, his demise isn’t scheduled for today

Kuya Kim Atienza, a famous TV personality and host, slammed a post on TikTok which appeared to announce his demise.

The said TikTok account, which has the handle of ‘GMA’ and bore a similar logo to one of the network’s shows, recently uploaded a black and white photo of Kuya Kim, along with the information that he has allegedly passed away.

“Maraming salamat, Alejandro "Kim" Iligan Atienza, January 24, 1967 - June 3, 2024,” the information found near the bottom of Kuya Kim’s black and white photo reads.

Kuya Kim, on learning about the said post, lost no time in declaring it as fake news and a hoax.

He then screengrabbed the post and reposted the same on his own Instagram account, but not before writing his own thoughts on the face of the screengrabbed photo.

“Hoax,” wrote Kuya Kim in big, bold red letters on the face of the photo.

In his caption, the beloved TV host then indicated that while everyone would have to cross the great divide someday, his time has not yet come.

“Nope, not today,” Kuya Kim said.

Kuya Kim Atienza is the son of Lito Atienza, a well-known politician. He is famous for his broad knowledge and love for animals. He worked as a politician from 1995 till 2004. He became the weather anchor of ABS-CBN newscast, "TV Patrol", and also hosted the educational show "Matanglawin" on the same network. Kuya Kim was also a host for the popular noontime variety show, "It's Showtime". In 2021, Kuya Kim officially became a Kapuso.

Recently, Kuya Kim shared an Instagram reel showing him with 'It's Showtime' hosts, Jugs Jugueta and Teddy Corpuz. In the said reel, Kuya Kim expressed his happiness about their reunion. "'I worked with Jugs and Teddy for 7 years. I was so happy to see them in GMA today.' he wrote in his post."

Meanwhile, one of Kim's post on social media also showed former 'It's Showtime' co-host Anne Curtis. He posted his selfie with Anne, Vicky Morales, and Iya Villania at the studio of “24 Oras.” The lovely selfie was taken during Anne’s guest appearance on the Kapuso news program. In the caption, Kuya Kim also fondly called Anne his “dearest inaanak.”
