The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) are now conducting thorough investigation into the death of veteran actor Ronaldo Valdez.

In Marisol Abdurahman’s report on GMA's “24 Oras,” Major Don Don Llapitan, chief of the QCPD Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit, said Valdez had a gunshot wound when he was found unconscious in his room yesterday, December 17, at around 3 p.m.

“Si Sir Ronaldo Valdez po ay nakaupo sa kanyang upuan po at wala na pong malay. May tama sa kanyang right temple po at ‘yung baril na ginamit, nasa kanyang kamay pa rin,” Major Llapitan stated.

The multi-awarded actor was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

Because a gun was found at the scene, everyone in Valdez’s house was subjected to a paraffin and ballistic test, which is part of the standard operating procedure for incidents that may involve a crime. However, it doesn’t necessarily mean that people subjected to the tests were involved.

As of this posting, they are still awaiting the results of the tests.
