Elijah Canlas has directly addressed the cheating allegations surrounding his breakup with actress Miles Ocampo, firmly denying that infidelity played any role in the end of their relationship.

During an interview with Ogie Diaz, the actor explained that the accusations were untrue and said people who were close to him and Miles were aware of what really happened.
“It’s not true. Miles would know it’s not true,” the actor said.
Elijah emphasized that there was no third party involved in the relationship, despite speculation that surfaced following their separation.

“People close to us would know it’s not true,” he added.
“There’s no third party involved,” Elijah continued.
The actor also explained why he had previously avoided publicly engaging with the cheating rumors. Rather than appearing defensive, he said he preferred not to repeatedly respond whenever the issue was raised by members of the press.
“Even when press people ask, I try not to say that, but that’s the truth,” he said in mixed English and Filipino.
“There is no cheating involved,” he added.
Elijah further expressed how strongly he valued his past relationship with Miles, pointing out that his own experience of being cheated on made him particularly unwilling to do the same thing to someone he loved.
“But I love her so much, and I have experienced being cheated on, so I wouldn’t do that, especially to her,” he added in Filipino.
Aside from the allegations, Elijah also addressed a viral video that showed him with actress Thea Astley at a public market in La Union. The footage prompted speculation online, with some viewers connecting the two to the rumors surrounding his breakup with Miles.
Elijah dismissed the reactions as an overinterpretation of an ordinary situation.
“The people are overreacting,” he said.
“They made a mountain out of a molehill. There was no molehill to begin with,” he added.
According to Elijah, his relationship with Thea is purely platonic. He also clarified that they were not alone during their time in La Union, contrary to assumptions made by some people who saw the viral footage.
“Thea and I are just friends, and we’ve been friends for a while,” he added.
“It wasn’t just the two of us in La Union. We were with our other friends,” he said.
The clarification came as Elijah also confirmed the end of his five-year relationship with Miles. The former couple publicly confirmed their relationship in May 2022, although they had already been linked before making their romance official.
They eventually broke up in 2023 after years together. A year later, however, reports surfaced that the two had reconciled after they were spotted together at several events.
