"I love him! Yes, very much. He's such a wonderful man. Ah napakabait na tao," she affectionately confessed in a deeply sincere mix of English and Tagalog.
Interestingly, the affectionate matriarch recalled sharing a special professional bond with Jericho before he even pursued her beloved daughter.
She noted that they actually worked closely together on a major television series set in the mountains. "I think we had dinner. I don't really remember much but I worked with him kasi sa teleserye... si Janine was also in the teleserye and then Echo was there for Lavender Fields and then kami muna ni Echo ang magkakasama sa Atok, Benguet," she explained.
Back then, the supportive parent never imagined that her talented co-star would eventually capture her eldest child's heart in the real world.
"Syempre hindi ko naman iniisip na ito pala ang magiging ah kapuso at kapamilya ng anak ko 'di ba at namin. But Um you know he's been nothing but wonderful to us," she reflected, expressing deep gratitude for his consistent kindness toward their entire household.
Touching upon the couple's mutual decision to exclusively date back in April 2025, the loving mother emphasized that she highly respects her child's independence and maturity.
"Alam mo Tito Boy, my daughter is of age you know hindi na rin kailangan magpaalam sa akin ni Janine. Ah kung ano man ang desisyon ng anak ko I I'd like to think that I raised my daughter with a you know good heart with hopefully she makes the best decisions for herself. And I I trust her. I trust her very much," she proudly stated on national television.
