Awra Briguela was embroiled in a controversy that stemmed from her involvement in a physical altercation.

The incident prompted a hiatus from her usually active online presence.

It had been almost a month since Awra last posted on her social media accounts but just recently, she posted a sneak peek of his upcoming comedy show, featuring her alongside other talented actors.

"Ready na kami for #ComedylslandPH! August 31, only on Prime Video," she wrote in her first post.

In the second one, the comedian penned, "Can't wait for #ComedylslandPH! Watch us this August 31 only on Prime Video!"

Awra Briguela, or McNeal Briguela, is a young Filipino comedian and actor. His popularity started when he became part of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano when he was personally chosen for the role by the show's lead actor Coco Martin. He was also the first champion for season one of the Philippine version of Your Face Sounds Familiar: Kids. In 2016, Awra's life was featured in a titular episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya.

In a previous report by KAMI, Awra Briguela underwent inquest proceedings before the city prosecutor's office. GMA Integrated News reporter John Consulta shared a video showing Awra being taken for the E-inquest. The comedian was arrested after being involved in a brawl outside a bar in Makati City. She was charged with physical injuries, alarm and scandal, direct assault, and disobedience to a person in authority.

Earlier, Xian Gaza expressed his frank opinion on the situation of Awra, who had been arrested after being involved in a brawl outside a bar in Makati City. According to Xian, Awra may be a hero in the eyes of many, but the law of the land has a different perspective. However, Xian expressed in the comments section of his post that he is with Awra in this “fight.”
