Shaina Magdayao has recently been praised by netizens after she decided to cut her hair and donate it to cancer patients.

On Sunday, July 16, the Kapamilya actress took to Instagram and shared the journey of how she got a haircut for cancer patients.

In one of her viral posts, Shaina could be seen holding the locks of hair that was cut, before measuring it with a ruler.

"STRANDS OF HOPE. My new Passion Project with @kythefoundation in support of Pediatric Cancer Patients under their care. An opportunity to share and serve. Something I've been wanting to do for a while now, but had to wait for more “growth” and the perfect Foundation to partner with," she wrote.

Meanwhile, in a separate video, encouraging others to support pediatric cancer patients under Kythe Foundation.

"By donating your hair WHICH WILL BE TURNED INTO #WIGS FOR THE KYTHE KIDS, you can bring joy and love to our chronically-ill children! ….AAAAAND IN 3 WEEKS, I WILL BE MEETING THE BENEFICIARY OF MY HAIR, which we will be sharing with all of you also! I’m EXCITED," she wrote.
