The actress responded after a social media user suggested that Live Nation Philippines had given her backstage access because of her celebrity status. Wanting to clear things up, she explained that the opportunity had nothing to do with the event organizer.
In her reply, Ellen wrote, "Before spreading false information please fact check first." She then shared that Vanness personally invited them backstage through his friendship with Rovilson Fernandez.
According to the actress, Rovilson has been her friend since before she entered showbiz. She also explained that he and Vanness have been close friends for many years, making the backstage visit a simple reunion among friends.

Ellen continued, "Live Nation had nothing to do with it. I've been friends with Rovilson since before showbiz, and he's been good friends with Vanness for years. They simply wanted to catch up, and we were fortunate enough to be invited along."
She also pushed back against assumptions that there was a hidden reason behind the invitation.
"Not everything needs a conspiracy or special treatment. Sometimes its simply called friendship." she wrote, emphasizing that people should avoid jumping to conclusions without knowing the full story.
Before ending her response, Ellen reminded the commenter to verify information first before making accusations. She concluded her message with, "Next time, verify your information before making accusations. Pag inggit, pikit. 😉"
The actress later reposted a screenshot of the exchange on her Instagram Stories. Along with it, she addressed what she described as "bitter" fans and defended what she said was the real story behind the backstage access.
Her Story included the message, "Sa mga bitter na faney, eto ang totoong nangyari." She also added, "Mahirap ba talagang maging masaya na lang para sa iba? Hindi naman lahat ng bagay kailangang gawan ng issue o kwento."
Ellen's clarification came after photos and posts about meeting Vanness Wu drew attention from some social media users, with a few questioning how she was able to go backstage. Instead of letting the assumptions continue, she chose to explain the situation herself through a direct response and her Instagram Story.
The actress made it clear that the meeting happened because of a long-standing friendship among people who already knew each other well, not because of special privileges tied to the event.
