Celebrity mom and actress Ellen Adarna is well-known for her unfiltered, tough-love advice when it comes to relationships. In a guest appearance on Melai Cantiveros’ popular talk show Kuan on One, Ellen looked back at her youth to share a powerful piece of wisdom that she now lives by as a woman.

During the interview, featured in a clip shared by ABS-CBN, Ellen wore a classic black turtleneck and discussed how her perspective on romance dramatically shifted during her teenage years.
Ellen shared a vulnerable story about her very first heartbreak, admitting that she handled the separation heavily when she was still a young high school student, one that many were able to relate to.
"For three months, every day, ay iniiyakan ko siya. Para akong magpapakamatay na," Ellen recalled, laughing at her past self. "Ganung levels ha parang mamamatay na ako," she added.

She described coming home from school every single day with her eyes completely swollen from crying.
Seeing his daughter in such deep distress for months eventually forced Ellen's late father to step in and deliver some strict, life-changing words of affirmation. Her father's grounding advice instantly woke her up from her grief and formed the exact relationship mantra she carries with her to this day as a woman.
"No man is worth your tears," Ellen stated firmly, passing on the lesson. "Hindi ka madaling makuha kaya huwag kang magpaloko," her late father said.
Melai was visibly touched by the strong message, rubbing her arms as she reacted to the powerful words.
"Tumayo ang mga balahibo ko," the host expressed in awe upon hearing Ellen's statement.
Melai Cantiveros is a popular Filipina actress, TV host, and comedian. She rose to fame in 2009 after winning Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up. Her entertaining personality, natural comedic talent, and charisma made her a favorite among viewers while inside Kuya’s House. After winning, Melai entered showbiz and became successful as both a comedian and television host. In her personal life, she married Jason Francisco. The couple is popularly known as "MelaSon," and they have two daughters together.

Meanwhile, Melai Cantiveros urged Filipinos to stay informed and vote wisely amid ongoing controversies involving the Senate. The actress-host expressed concern over the divisions among Filipinos and appealed for leaders to restore dignity to the Senate. Melai made the remarks during the press conference for the new season of her podcast. She also emphasized the everyday struggles faced by ordinary Filipinos and called on public officials to be more mindful of their job scope and responsibilities.
