Regine Velasquez, labis na nalungkot sa nangyari sa Manila Central Post Office: “Naging bahagi ng buhay ko”

Regine Velasquez, in an Instagram post, expressed her great sadness over what happened at the Manila Central Post Office.

It can be recalled a fire broke out at the building on Sunday, May 21, 2023, which later on reached first alarm around 11pm that night.

The building was seen later to be engulfed in flames on Monday, May 22, 2023, and reached general alarm, or the highest fire alarm level that day.

It wasn’t until several hours later that firefighters declared a “fire out.”

In her IG post, Regine wondered what would happen to Katherine and others who became part of the Manila Central Post Office.

“Ano na kaya mangyayari kay Katherine at sa iba pang naging bahagi ng Manila Central Post Office ,” Regine wrote in her post.

“Katherine” is the character played by Regine in the 2002 movie “Ikaw Lamang, Hanggang Ngayon” where she played the role of a postal worker.

“Naging bahagi ng buhay ko ang Post Office napasok ko at nakakilala rin ng mga kaibigan duon,” Asia’s songbird further wrote.

She then expressed sadness that it happened to a historical landmark like the famous building.

“The Manila Central Post Office was a Historical land mark it’s so sad that this happened,” Regine said.

Regine is a famous singer and nicknamed "Asia's Songbird." His amazing skill at squeezing is one of the things he admires the most. Apart from singing, he has also acted in several films and is also a producer.

Previously, Regine's and Sharon Cuneta's video showing them stopping for fans who wanted to have their photo taken with them went viral. The said video, which was uploaded by a netizen on social media, showed the two superstars walking while pulling their luggage inside what looked like an airport. Early on, the two casually walked while talking when a couple of individuals appeared to stop them and ask to have their photos taken together. After having their pics taken, the two superstars resumed walking casually as if they’re just ordinary passengers like all of the people around them.
