Michelle Gumabao may have experienced one unforgettable moment in Singapore, when she encountered a beggar who is actually updated when it comes to digital payments.

The beauty queen took to Twitter and relayed how a beggar asked her for alms.

However, since she had no cash on hand, she told the beggar that she did not have any money.

To her surprise, the beggar showed her a barcode so that she could process online payment.

"May nanlimos dito sa SG, sabi ko sorry no cash. Pinakitaan ako ng barcode," the beauty queen tweeted.

Michelle's tweet quickly went viral and it has already gained more than 300K views.

Michele Gumabao is a volleyball player, TV personality and beauty queen in the Philippines. Aside from being a former co-captain of the De La Salle University women's volleyball team, she also became more well-known due to her stint on the ABS-CBN program, “Pinoy Big Brother.” She was also crowned Binibining Pilipinas Globe in 2018.

Michele trended before due to the events that transpired at Miss Universe Philippines 2020. She bagged the second-runner up spot but she also became the center of controversy due to her actions post-pageant especially pertaining to her posts and non-attendance at the watch party.

She has also opened up about the controversies that have hounded her and the Miss Universe Philippines 2020 pageant. The beauty queen revealed that she fell sick and got injured days before going to Baguio City, where the pageant was going to be held. The pageant’s hectic schedule and delays in activities made things worse for her. She also shared that she supposedly heard cryptic messages about the results of the pageant. Furthermore, Michele also addressed the controversy about her not appearing in the pictorial of the top five candidates.
