Rufa Mae Quinto turned emotional after her daughter, Athena Magallanes, received a 'Noteworthy Learners' award in school.
On Saturday, March 25, KAMI learned that the actress uploaded videos and photos of Athena receiving her award on stage.
In her Instagram posts, Rufa Mae admitted that she always cries whenever she watches her daughter's video.
"Anak, I'm so proud of you @alexandriamagallanes, habang nasa Philippines ang mama working... ito ang pinakamagandang regalo na binigay mo sa amin ng daddy mo @trevvvsilog. Sulit ang pag-aalaga namin at pagpapalaki sayo," she wrote.

Rufa also explained why she misses her daughter a lot, revealing that she is often out of the country or out of town for work.
"Every time pinapanood ko ang video na ito, naiiyak ako. Miss kita dahil parati ako out of the country or out of town kaka-todo na tour. Hindi ako sanay na di kita makasama at makatabi sa gabi pag tulog ko," she confessed.
Meanwhile, in one of her Instagram posts, Rufa said that her daughter's accomplishments serve as a form of inspiration to her.
"Mas gaganahan pa kaming lalo magsumikap para sa iyong education. Sarap ng feeling mga friends! Go go go! Todo na 'to!" She cheered.
Rufa Mae Quinto-Magallanes is a Pinay actress and comedian. She also had TV hosting and recording stints. She was born on May 28, 1978. Rufa’s showbiz career started after securing a spot in That’s Entertainment in 1996.
