Rufa Mae Quinto took to Instagram to express her heartfelt thanks to fellow actress and fashion aficionado, Heart Evangelista, for helping the former sell some of her luxury items.

The actress is now in the United States after being forced to extend her stay there due to travel restrictions brought about by the pandemic.

She went there in February of 2020 with her daughter so they could spend time with her husband, Trevor Magallanes, who is based in California.

Rufa is supposed to stay there for only a week or two, but soon found herself extending her stay after travel restrictions took effect.

Since there is no certainty when she would be coming back to the Philippines, Rufa Mae decided to let go some of her luxury items that were left at home.

“I am really into fashion but because of the pandemic and all, I have to leave and forget about them but daily, I think about all my collections, it's like my babies and my life also,” the actress said.

Heart then stepped in and bought all of the designer shoes being offered for sale by Rufa Mae.

The latter was so happy that it was Heart who bought it, being a longtime friend and all, that she immediately posted her thanks on Instagram.

“Aaaw thanks @iamhearte! I miss you and love you. I can't wait to see all my collections again in the Philippines…oh makes me teary-eyed,” Rufa Mae wrote in her post.

She also narrated how Heart prepared her pre-loved items before selling it. The two actresses have known each other since their teenage days and their respective families have been friends since 1995.

“Ikaw Heart huling kasama ko sa Pilipinas before I left for the USA, sino may akala na 'di na ako makabalik sa Pinas because of lock down and all. You cleaned all my shoes, jewelries and watches, siya din nagpunas isa isa sa shoes ko and she bought some, sold some to her friends,” Ruffa Mae narrated.

She said it’s really worth it to invest in things you love if only to provide inspiration and so one could be happy at work. However for now, Ruffa said her focus is more on her health.

Rufa Mae Quinto-Magallanes is a Pinay actress and comedian. She also had TV hosting and recording stints. She was born on May 28, 1978. Rufa’s showbiz career started after securing a spot in That’s Entertainment in 1996. In 1997, she portrayed a major role in Gloria, Gloria Labandera, and was widely known as ‘Booba’ and ‘Boobita Rose.’ She also was the inspiration for the international catchphrase as having a “nose bleed” for those who have trouble with the English language. While Rufa is a GMA Network talent, her manager, Boy Abunda, belongs to the rival TV station, ABS-CBN. The comedian married Trevor Magallanes, a financial analyst, on November 25, 2016.

Rufa Mae also thanked Heart for sharing that she has a good shoe collection. In her latest online post, Rufa expressed her desire to see her shoe collection again as she considers them as her babies. According to the actress, because of the pandemic and all, she had to "leave and forget" her collections behind.

In an exclusive interview with KAMI, Rufa Mae revealed she misses the food, people, shoes and jewelry in the Philippines. She also misses working in showbiz, including getting the chance to show her acting skills and interacting with her co-actors. As for living in America, she appreciates having less restrictions, more financial help from the government, and having lots of places to visit amid the pandemic. The actress also revealed that she became a simpler and more mindful person who values unconditional love once she became a mother.
