“Faith, alam natin at alam ng mga nanay, tatay, Kapuso, that your father, movie actor Dennis Da Silva na aking kaibigan po is a person deprived of liberty for 20 years now. Two years old ka noong nakulong ang iyong ama. But since then, hindi mo pa siya nakikita at hindi mo pa siya nabibisita. I always want to ask you this. Bakit?” Boy asked Faith.
She answered, “The truth is my Mama has always been supportive na makita namin ng kapatid ko si Papa. But I guess when I was younger, siyempre I was immature. I didn't get kung bakit, why they had to separate ways. I thought na iniwan niya lang kami kasi magulo na masyado, hindi na niya kinaya. But palagi ko talaga siyang hinahanap before."
Faith then emotionally recalled, “Sabi ng Dad ko, I’m the most beautiful girl in the world and every time na 'yung confidence ko bumababa, inaalala ko lang ‘yun, kasi sa mata ng Papa ko, ako yung pinakamaganda.”
“Ikinahiya mo na nasa kulungan ang Papa?” Boy then queried.
To which Faith honestly answered, “Before, when I was younger.”
“Magiging honest ako kasi ito 'yung tsansa ko rin para malaman ng Papa ko how I truly feel. Kasi hindi pa kami nagkikita in person, and it’s been more than 20 years of my life and I've grown into a person I am today. And I’m very grateful for him and my mama that I am here. Kinahiya ko lang naman noon dahil hindi ko naintindihan noon kung ano 'yung mga nangyayari.”
On the other hand, Faith clarified that she has forgiven her father.
Furthermore, the Kapuso actress aired a heartfelt message to her dad.
“Hi, Papa. You're watching this. I just wanna say na everything that happened in the past, wala na 'yun. Wala na 'yun sa utak ko. You know we can always start over. And gusto kong ma-experience 'yung pagmamahal ng tatay. Alam ko, sa’yo ko lang 'yun makukuha pero hindi ko mamadaliin ang lahat.”
“Maghihintay ako 'cause I believe in the divine timing talaga of everything. 'Pag naging ready ka na, 'pag naging fully ready na rin ako, at yung pagkakataon na ibigay sa atin ng Diyos, alam ko na 'yun yung magiging life changing moment sa buhay ko,” she added.
