Ellen Adarna took to IG Stories and shared a video of Derek Ramsay hanging a Philippine flag on his terrace.

He hung it in a way that it was directly facing a neighbor's house, which had two red banners with Chinese characters written all over.

The actress had a funny caption, saying that her husband is patriotic.

"I like the view #proudpinoy," captioned the actress on her post.

She then tagged her husband describing him as "patriotic @ramsayderek07."

Ellen would usually post her adventures with her husband on IG Stories.

The whole family recently went to Iceland, where they enjoyed the super cold temperatures.

Aside from being patriotic, the actor proved that he is also a very patient mentor when he taught Elias how to ski at the place touted as the home of Santa Claus.

Derek is one of the most sought-after leading men in the Philippines. He starred in many critically-acclaimed films such as "No Other Woman" and "English Only, Please.” Derek’s celebrity ex-girlfriends include Angelica Panganiban, Solenn Heussaff, Cristine Reyes, Joanne Villablanca, and Andrea Torres. He is now married to Ellen Adarna.

Dereks cheek became slightly swollen after getting hit by Elias Modesto’s karate kick. In a video he uploaded on social media, the actor’s face showed pain as he jokingly kept telling Elias that the boy hurt him. Earlier, Derek was teasing Elias that he’s a monster looking for food and that he smells a little boy underneath the sheets. When the actor yanked the sheets, Elias suddenly let out a playful kick, hitting Derek in his right cheek.

The loving way that Derek treats his stepson Elias has been the subject of praise from both netizens and showbiz personalities. One example is Lolit Solis who penned a commentary on Derek’s close relationship with Elias, the son of his partner Ellen Adarna from her previous relationship. She commended Derek and Ellen for bringing Elias on their trips abroad even if it is not easy to care for a child during vacations. The entertainment columnist also praised Derek for being a great stepfather and for accepting Ellen’s situation. However, Lolit expressed her wish for Derek and Ellen to have their first child together as a couple.
