Alex Gonzaga showed her honesty and vulnerability during the January 4 episode of her “Ano na Catherine? by Alex Gonzaga” podcast.

During the said episode, Alex confessed to experiencing insecurities and self-doubt before due to many years of being compared by people to her older sister, Toni Gonzaga.

“All my life, I’ve been compared to my sister... So, kahit sabihin ko na ‘di ko siya dinidibdib, na-realize ko na meron pala siyang impact sa’kin. At the back of my head, it’s a thing pala na nako-kompara ako sa kapatid ko. May effect pala siya sa’kin,” Alex admitted.

According to Alex, because she felt like she was not as special as Toni, she tried to drown her insecurities by seeking a love life. Alex also admitted that she appeared to be prideful and boastful before due to her attempts to hide her insecurities

“Tapos parang feeling ko, I’m not as special as my sister in my family. Sobra kong lungkot that I had to look for a love life to compensate ‘yung doubts ko sa sarili ko,” she revealed.

Fortunately, the YouTube vlogger was able to overcome her self-doubt with the help of her family and friends who assured her that she is special in her own way.
