Erik Santos pens emotional tribute to his late mom: “no more cancer”

Erik Santos got netizens emotional through a heartfelt message for his late mother, Angelita Ramos Santos, who died at the age of 66 due to cancer.

According to Erik, his mother is now in heaven with Jesus, where there is no more cancer, chemotherapy, and other medical procedures.

The singer added that he misses bonding with his mom, taking care of her, changing her diapers, brushing her teeth, and giving her a bath.

He also thanked his mom for bravely battling cancer for the sake of her family.

“Nanay, I know you are in a better place now. BEST place actually kasi kasama mo na si Papa JESUS. No more pain, no more NGT, no more pig tails, no more catheters, no more tests and scans, wala nang mga nakatusok sa katawan mo, no more chemo, no more blood transfusion, no more oxygen tank, no more bed sores, no more diapers, makakahinga ka na ng mapayapa without any machine, no more cancer.

“Ma-mi miss kita alagaan Nay, ma-mi miss ko yung mga luto mo, yung mga tawanan natin, mga kwentuhan sa kubo about life habang nag kakape sa umaga, ma-mi miss kita i-kiss at i-hug everyday, ma-mi miss ko yung daily prayers natin. Ma-mi miss kita tooth brushan, linisan, hugasan, palitan ng diapers, buhatin para umupo, ma-mi miss kita i-nebulize, ma-miss kita i massage, ma-mi miss ko ang mga tawa mo Nay, yung mga jokes mo. Ma-mi miss kita katabi sa pagtulog. I will miss everything about you.

Erik Santos is one of the most acclaimed and lauded singers in the Philippines. He was hailed as the first Grand Champion of the ABS-CBN singing competition Star in a Million Season 1 in 2003. His hit songs include "Kulang Ako Kung Wala Ka" and "Pagbigyang Muli."

In a previous report, Erik turned a year older and his loved ones prepared a surprise birthday party for him. The singer then posted on social media a couple of videos giving glimpses of the elegant birthday bash. As can be seen in the videos captured by Nice Print Photography, Erik became emotional over the said surprise. Also spotted at the party are his celebrity friends like Robi Domingo, Darren Espanto, AC Bonifacio, Kyla Alvarez, Jolina Magdangal, Vina Morales, and KZ Tandingan.

Erik was also present during the Christening of Angeline Quinto's baby. Aside from Erik, the cozy gathering was also attended by other celebrities like Vice Ganda. Some of the bosses of ABS-CBN were present too, just like Cory Vidanes. Richard Yap was also present at the event and even shared a few photos.
