Lolit Solis, in one of her latest IG posts, expressed sadness that some elderly people like her friend Jopay would eventually end up at the Home for the Aged.

She narrated in her post that every time she gets the chance to talk to Jopay, Manay Lolit would immediately feel sad.
The veteran showbiz columnist also said that she can’t accept why her friend would have to live at a Home for the Aged.
“Basta nakausap ko si Jopay Salve tinatamaan ako ng lungkot. Kasi nga, parang hindi ko matanggap na kailangan sa Home for the Aged siya mapunta,” Manay Lolit said.

Manay Lolit recalled that back when Jopay was still with them, she would always talk about how much she loved her “pamangkins” and how she would help them with their needs.
“Dahil nuon kasama namin siya lagi ng masaya niya kuwento kung gaano niya kamahal mga pamangkin niya, kung paano na tulungan niya ang mga ito pag may kailangan at puwede siya itulong,” she said.
The veteran showbiz columnist admitted that she doesn’t know the entire story about why Jopay is now in an elderly facility, though assumed that all her relatives were all abroad.
“Hindi ko rin alam ano ba talaga ang istorya, baka nga nasa abroad lahat at wala siyang pamangkin na nasa Pilipinas. Kalungkot kasi isipin na pagtanda mo, mapupunta ka sa Home for the Aged, walang kasama pamilya,” the columnist said.
She also expressed relief that even if her children were abroad, Manay Lolit can still handle things in her life.
“Salamat na lang at hangga ngayon, kahit nasa abroad ang aking mga anak, kaya ko parin ang takbo ng buhay ko, hindi ko parin kailangan umasa sa iba. At siguro naman , nasa piling parin ako ng mga nagmamahal sa akin hanggang wakas,” Manay Lolit said.
Lolit Solis is a Pinay talk show host, entertainment news writer, talent manager and showbiz columnist. She was born on May 20, 1947 in the city of Manila. According to the veteran columnist, she spent her early life in a poor section of Lardizabal in Sampaloc, Manila. She has made numerous controversial remarks about known celebrities
Recently, Manay Lolit took to IG and expressed the reason why she does not want to be visited during her dialysis sessions. However, at the same time, she admitted that she is grateful for people who take the time to check on her. She was surprised when she was visited by Rhian Ramos and Lynette Baldivino as the visit was really unexpected. What she appreciated the most was that they really stayed and accompanied her.
In a separate post, she also reacted to the announcement about the new stars of the new television network ALLTV (AMBS 2). It seems to her like many big stars are willing to leave other networks for the sake of working for ALLTV. The entertainment columnist is also excited to see the likes of Ciara Sotto, Mariel Rodriguez, and Julia Barretto on the new TV channel. Finally, Lolit expressed her hope that under the leadership of the Villars, the network will take off.
