Pagpanaw ni Cherie Gil, hindi biglaan, ani Cristy Fermin: "Matagal na pong alam"

Cristy Fermin and Romel Chika have recently discussed the saddening news about Cherie Gil's passing which was confirmed by Annabelle Rama on social media.

Last week, on Friday, August 5, the veteran actress passed away at the age of 59 after bravely battling cancer.

In the latest episode of 'Cristy Ferminute' online, KAMI learned that Cristy talked about Cherie's illness and why the news of her death is not sudden at all.

According to Cristy, the late actress's family, and her closest friends, already knew for a long time that she was battling cancer.

"Hindi po ito biglaan. Matagal na pong alam ng kanyang pamilya at malalapit na kaibigan ang kanyang pinagdadaanang pagbiyahe tungkol sa kanyang sakit na cancer," she began.

In the video, Cristy revealed that Cherie has long been complaining about the pain in her back which led to the discovery of her sickness.

"Matagal na po niyang inaano eh, dinadaing yung kanyang likuran, meron siyang bukol sa likuran na patuloy sumasakit at patuloy na lumalaki. Nang operahan po at i-biopsy, nalaman po na ang manifestation ay sa likod niya pero nag-ugat po ang kanyang CA sa uterus," she revealed.

The veteran columnist then continued on and said that Cherie's bones were also affected in the process.

"Pagkatapos po na malaman yung sa uterus, ang kanyang mga buto na po ang pinuntirya. Dun na po siya lubusang nanghina. At pagkatapos nun, nakitaan po siya ng tatlong tumor sa ulo," she said.
