Nay Cristy recalled the time when Sheryl questioned Sen. Grace Poe’s decision to run for presidency in the 2016 elections.
“Noong 2016, siya ang unang-unang nagsabi na hindi pa hinog si Senadora Grace Poe para tumakbo sa panguluhan, ngayong 2022 pa lang daw siguro pwede,” Cristy recollected.
“Kiyeme-kiyemeng hindi raw naman niya sinusukat at minamaliit ang kapasidad ni Manang Grace.”

Nay Cristy then went on to tell her co-host Romel Chika that Sheryl was envious of Grace, her cousin.
“At saka ito Romel ah, kitang-kita mo na aminin niya't sa hindi, inggit siya, nagseselos. Si Senadora Grace, matindi 'yung pangarap niyang binuo nung 2016. Nag-aral siya sa ibang bansa, nagsunog ng kilay, nagtapos at pagbalik dito, armado na ng katalunihan. Tapos, ikaw (Sheryl) pa ang magsasabi na hindi ka pa hinog na tumakbo sa panguluhan.”

Sheryl Rose Anna Marie Sonora Cruz, a.k.a. Sheryl Cruz, is a Filipina actress and singer. She is known for her iconic role in "Sinasamba Kita". Sheryl is the daughter of Ricky Belmonte and Rosemarie Sonora, sister of Susan Roces.
Sheryl Cruz posted on social media her own video-recorded eulogy for her late aunt Susan Roces. Cristy Fermin then reacted to the said eulogy. Nay Cristy noticed that Sheryl did not mention Sen. Grace Poe in the speech. This prompted Cristy to recall Sheryl’s issue with Grace.
Sheryl was also the subject of Lolit Solis’ recent commentary on social media. Lolit penned her thoughts on Sheryl’s absence when Susan was laid to rest on Thursday at the Manila North Cemetery.
