Lolit Solis, in her most recent Instagram post, once again praised Gretchen Barretto for her kind heart and generosity, particularly when it comes to her former associates in the showbiz industry.

The veteran showbiz columnist said that many people would not forget the kindness they have received from the former actress.
“Hangga ngayon iyon pagiging generous parin ni Gretchen Barretto sa showbiz ang hindi malimutan talaga,” Manay Lolit wrote in her post.
She also thanked the aides of the former actress and socialite who were always there to help Gretchen do her charity work.

“Pati nga iyon pagiging assistant nila Ana Abiera at ms Rusky talagang kahanga hanga dahil buong showbiz ang nakinabang,” the veteran showbiz columnist wrote.
Lolit said that had it not been for the busy schedule of the group, they would have been on their third batch of giving away love boxes and wheelchairs.
“Kundi nga siguro naging very busy din lately ang grupo naka 3rd batch ng pagbibigay ng mga bigas, love box at wheelchair ang team Gretchen. Talagang for the longest time ito ang hindi malilimutan ng showbiz, ang ipinakitang generosity ni Gretchen Barretto,” Manay Lolit said.
She then said that now, everyone knows if a showbiz star truly wanted to help, it would be an easy thing to do.
“So ngayon alam na ng lahat na basta tutoong gusto tumulong ng isang star, madali lang gawin. Hindi kailangan hintayin pa ang paghingi ng tulong, puwede naman kusa lang ito ibigay gaya ng ginawa ni Gretchen , basta ipinadala sa bawat bahay, hindi nanghinayang sa gagastusin maibigay lang ang tulong,” the veteran columnist said.
In parting, she again thanked the team of Gretchen for all their help.
“Thank you for that wonderful help team Gretchen Barretto. Forever grateful,” Manay Lolit said.
Lolit Solis is a Pinay talk show host, entertainment news writer, talent manager and showbiz columnist. She was born on May 20, 1947 in the city of Manila. According to the veteran columnist, she spent her early life in a poor section of Lardizabal in Sampaloc, Manila. She has made numerous controversial remarks about known celebrities. She was also involved in the infamous 1994 Manila Film Scandal, where she induced several actors and actresses to announce different names as winners.
In another post recently, Manay Lolit talked about Bea Alonzo and inquired as to whether the actress also has charity work. The veteran showbiz columnist also asked if Bea has helped others and if she also has a heart for the poor. She also asked if she ever had a fundraising activity to reciprocate the love of her followers. Lolit then lamented what she said was the ease by which Bea ‘canceled’ those individuals whom she didn’t like, though the columnist also asked people to just understand.
The veteran showbiz columnist, in a different Instagram post about Bea, said that doesn’t want to waste her time on “isang Bea Alonzo lamang.” Manay Lolit said the world has a lot of problems that need more attention than the said actress. She even berated herself in her own post because she became distracted by the issue with Bea. Lolit then suggested that the actress should also watch the news sometimes instead of her old movies that sometimes might let her develop an illusion of grandeur.
