Gretchen Barretto was recently by veteran showbiz columnist Lolit Solis in an Instagram post for being praised for being extremely generous.

In an Instagram post, Nay Lolit revealed she was once asked what can she say about Gretchen Barretto.
“May nagtanong sa akin kung ano daw ba talaga ang pagkakilala ko kay Gretchen Barretto,” the veteran columnist wrote.
She said that many people have been wondering if Gretchen has always been this generous to others.

“Bakit daw ba parang bigla naging ganito siya ka generous, kind at charitable. Bakit daw na nuon hindi niya iyon ginagawa,” Nay Lolit further wrote.
The veteran columnist then said that Gretchen may have wanted to share even before but back then, she cannot afford it yet.
“Siguro si Gretchen Barretto para din season, may summer, may winter. Or siguro din nuon hindi pa niya afford to give that much. Baka nuon pa gusto na niya magbigay, mag share pero hindi pa niya kaya financially,” Nay Lolit said.
She then said that at present, Gretchen might have found that she can afford to be very generous now, which is why she has been extending assistance to others.
The actress had also been giving friends what were later called as ‘Love Boxes’ to fellow celebrities and friends in the showbiz industry.
She also extended help and assistance even to retired showbiz personalities.
Nay Lolit said that Gretchen has even provided financial help and aid to people she doesn’t even know.
The veteran columnist said that the best thing about it is that the actress does not have any motive in giving all these.
She just wanted to give, which is why Gretchen deserved to be thanked and praised, Nay Lolit said.
Gretchen Barretto, the sister of stars Claudine and Marjorie Barretto, is a well-known actress in the Philippines. She has been in a relationship with business tycoon Tonyboy Cojuangco for many years, however, he is still legally married to his first wife, Denise Yabut.

In the clip, she updated her followers about her new IG account and revealed that she was clueless as to why her old one was deactivated. Moreover, the celebrity mom was also with her partner in the video, who is Tonyboy Cojuangco.
